Homelessness Prevention

We’re working hard to help people move back from homelessness and precarious housing as early as possible. Our early prevention initiatives work. They reduce the uncertainty, distress, and harm caused when housing insecurity emerges. Stopping homelessness in its tracks is also better for everyone in Bristol, because it can’t be right that people in our city have their lives devastated by a housing crisis.

Find out more about our prevention projects, Early Doors and Bristol Goods, and their initiatives. They provide information, advice, support, and resources that mean that people and communities in Bristol can maintain their dignity and independence and navigate a path through a challenging experience.

At Caring in Bristol, our projects embody our belief and experience that homelessness is not inevitable, and can be prevented. We know that the systems everybody lives within still need to address all the challenges and inequalities that people facing housing insecurity are exposed to. That's why we work to create lasting change every day.
