I believe that housing security is a basic human right that has been made inaccessible to some because of a succession of poor policy choices and growing inequality. Across Bristol, more and more people are being pushed into homelessness not because they have failed, but because the systems around them have.

I’m fundraising for Caring in Bristol because of the practical, compassionate work of the teams to change that reality. Together we support people facing homelessness with immediate help and longer-term opportunities to rebuild stability, dignity, and community. Close to my heart is the work with young people at risk of homelessness, providing safe spaces, guidance, and the kind of support that can prevent a crisis from becoming a lifelong struggle.

Homelessness isn’t inevitable. With the right support at the right time, people can move forward and thrive. By supporting Caring in Bristol, we can be part of a response that treats people with humanity and tackles the causes of homelessness rather than simply managing its consequences.

Any support you can give will help ensure that people in our city have the chance of a safe place to live and a future they can build. Robin Adlem
